Your right to object

You can object to our use of your information based on legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your situation. Contact us using the details below so that we can consider your objection.

Hosting, sharing and overseas processing

Vercel hosts and delivers this website. It processes technical connection and service information and may process that information outside the UK, including in the United States. Its privacy notice explains its purposes, responsibilities and international-transfer arrangements, including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Its data processing terms describe the safeguards available for processing on customers’ behalf.

Where needed to deal with an enquiry, relevant information may be handled by our authorised personnel, communications and IT service providers, or professional advisers. We may disclose information where a legal duty requires it or where necessary to establish or defend legal rights. We do not sell enquiry information.

For any overseas transfer for which we are responsible, an applicable UK adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual safeguards must be in place. You can ask us for details of the safeguards relevant to your information.

How long information is kept

We keep enquiry information while dealing with the enquiry and any reasonably necessary follow-up. If it leads to a business relationship, a complaint or a dispute, relevant records may need to be retained for that purpose.

Retention is determined by the purpose of the record, whether it remains necessary, any ongoing relationship or unresolved matter, and applicable legal record-keeping or claims requirements. We delete or anonymise information when there is no continuing justification for keeping it. Hosting and security information is subject to the hosting provider’s service and security retention arrangements. Contact us if you need more detail about a particular record.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction of use or a portable copy. You can also object as explained above. If we rely on consent for a particular use, you can withdraw that consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in data protection law. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. We normally respond to rights requests within one month; where the law permits additional time, we will explain why. You do not normally have to pay to exercise your rights.
